Crypto Maverick Andre Cronje Developing New Payment Infrastructure
Fantom co-founder Andre Cronje recently announced on Twitter that he is working on a new crypto payment infrastructure project. He has also launched a closed beta version of the product, which is not available to US citizens and will require KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance.
Cronje made the announcement in response to a tweet from a user who was in need of a card or payment infrastructure. He offered to add the user to the closed beta version of his project if they were only in need of payment infrastructure. However, if they were also in need of a card, Cronje stated that it would not be available until the end of 2023.
Cronje did not provide any further details about the new crypto payment infrastructure project or how it will work. However, his track record in the crypto space as the co-founder of Fantom, a high-performance blockchain platform, has earned him a reputation as a respected figure in the industry.
This announcement comes at a time when the use of cryptocurrencies for payments is becoming more mainstream, with major companies like PayPal and Tesla accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment. As a result, there is an increasing demand for reliable and efficient crypto payment infrastructure solutions.
While the closed beta version of Cronje’s project is not available to US citizens, it is likely that the product will eventually become available worldwide. However, it remains to be seen how the project will stack up against existing crypto payment solutions and whether it will be able to gain traction in an increasingly crowded market.
