Rumors are circulating about the launch of a crypto derivatives exchange by Arkham Intelligence next month, with an anonymous source cited by Bloomberg. Arkham Intelligence, an artificial intelligence-based platform for tracking crypto transactions, was founded in 2020 by Miguel Morel, who attracted investors such as Tim Draper of Palantir Technologies, co-founder of OpenAI and microstrategy. The platform uses the ARKM token as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum blockchain. The crypto derivatives, which are popular among short or very short-term speculators due to leveraged margin trading, have trading volumes that vastly exceed those of spot exchanges, such as Binance’s. The new derivatives exchange reportedly aims to compete in the retail investor/speculator market and will not be available to U.S. users.
