Crypto advocates are celebrating a major political shift, with hundreds of pro-crypto candidates winning seats in Congress in the 2024 U.S. election. The sector has spent over $238 million to grow its influence in the American legislative space. Initial results show 247 pro-crypto candidates winning in the House of Representatives, against 113 with the opposite stance.
In the Senate, 15 crypto-friendly voices were ahead in their respective races, while only ten anti-crypto politicians showed signs of making it to Capitol Hill. Pro-crypto PACs, such as Defend American Jobs, have played a significant role in these victories. The bipartisan nature of crypto advocacy is evident in the support from both Democrats and Republicans.
