On November 17th, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong addressed the issue of government spending through a post on Enlargement, claiming that the practice of promising more free things to win elections has had a negative impact. Armstrong argues that a constitutional amendment is needed to limit the total amount of government spending to around 10%, or to find a way to align incentives that would make current members of Congress ineligible for re-election if they vote for an unbalanced budget.
This proposal aims to address the issue of disproportionate spending, ultimately seeking a more balanced approach to financial management.
