In simple terms, BlackRock, an investment management corporation, has amassed a large amount of Bitcoin, approximately 12,272 coins, over the past 16 days, making it worth around $742 million. This accumulation has made BlackRock one of the major holders of Bitcoin. The monitoring of this acquisition was done through the Lookonchain platform.
As for the time frame of BlackRock’s acquisition, prior to August 27 to September 24, when Bitcoin was trading at below $60,000 for an extended period of time, BlackRock did not accumulate much Bitcoin. However, since September 24, the corporation has resumed the acquisition process and has subsequently increased its Bitcoin holdings. Currently, BlackRock holds an impressive total of 369,822 Bitcoin, equating to an approximate value of $22.4 billion.
