French insurance and reinsurance company AXA Investment has completed the registration process to become a crypto service operator, according to a report from French regulatory watchdog AMF. The move comes as French legislators urge crypto firms to register with the Financial Market Authority (AMF) department. AXA’s compliance efforts mirror those of other French-based financial institutions, including leading crypto exchange Binance and Bitstamp. The AMF has been taking a tougher stance on crypto regulation in France, notifying operators to comply with its regulations.
