Bitcoin Pizza Day will be celebrated for the 11th time on May 22. Laszlo Hanyecz offered 10,000 BTC for two pizzas in 2010. He had to wait four days for his pizza, which was roughly $41 at the time.

The pizzas were valued $630 million at the height of this year’s Bitcoin price of $63,000. On May 18, Bitcoin.org user Hanyecz stated that he intended to buy two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins.

Some were even driven to inquire about his health on Friday, wondering whether he was “feeling hungry.” Despite this, he didn’t acquire his pizza until Saturday, with delivery the following day.

He attempted to push the limit even farther in June, announcing a “open offer” for additional pizza-buying bitcoins.
