According to on-chain data, on November 3rd, a deployer of a memecurrency called pnut donated a large amount of pnut tokens to Vitalik Buterin’s Ethereum wallet. The donation was reportedly worth US$35,400 and was made in support of animal protection. The currency, called Peanut, was inspired by a real-life squirrel that was captured and euthanized by New York authorities.
The pnut tokens in Buterin’s wallet have not yet been sold, and the owner of Peanut, Mark Longo, has thanked Elon Musk for speaking out about the incident on Twitter.
