At the Gateway event in Dubai, the TON (The Open Network) team announced that they are rolling out major updates to their crypto wallet, TON Space, available on Telegram. Their purpose is to make TON’s platform simpler and more accessible.

According to reports, they have already reached over 100 million Telegram users with TON Space. This is about 10% of the app’s total user base.

One of the important innovations is that the TON Wallet and TON Space will now be available on a unified interface. With this change, users can more easily switch between storage options (central or self-custodial). As a significant innovation, they also benefit from a more transparent user experience.

Previously only in beta version, TON Space is now available as a full-fledged, stable service. According to the developers, it will play an increasingly important role in the TON ecosystem in the future. Through the integration, many decentralized applications (dApps), decentralized exchanges (DEX), staking services, as well as NFT and Jetton giveaways become available.

According to Andrew Rogozov, CEO of The Open Platform, TON Space aims to be not just a crypto-asset storage solution, but also an independent ecosystem. “We want TON Space to be the gateway to the entire TON ecosystem and enable Telegram’s 950 million users to have seamless access to dApps,” Rogozov said.

The TON Foundation recently announced that entered into a partnership also with HashKey. The purpose of the cooperation is to expand fiat-based deposit and withdrawal options for users in the Asia-Pacific region. The move makes the platform more adaptable to the needs of Asian markets, making it easier to convert and redeem traditional currencies into cryptocurrencies.

The two-day Gateway event will take place on November 1 and 2 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. Visitors can enjoy pleasant November weather and clear skies. A luxury car with the TON logo is parked in front of the event venue. Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, will not be represented at the event this year.
