Morgan Stanley Discloses Bitcoin ETF Exposure Amid Growing Institutional Involvement

This revelation comes after the firm reported exposure to US Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for the second quarter running.

The investment in the BlackRock iShare Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) made up a large part of the funds, with Morgan Stanley owning 5.5 million shares purchased in the second quarter. This demonstrates that Morgan Stanley is one of the crypto-friendly asset managers in the US, and their exposure to Bitcoin ETFs reflects the institutional presence the products would attract to the crypto market.
