BlockBeats news recently shared an update from Wall Street Journal reporter Nick Timiraos, who is often referred to as the “Fed’s mouthpiece”. Timiraos mentioned that the September employment report could influence the Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates. It may prevent a 50 basis point cut and keep it at 25 basis points instead.
In a previous report by BlockBeats, data showed that the U.S. non-agricultural employment population in September exceeded expectations at 254,000 after seasonal adjustments, compared to an expected 140,000. The previous value was also revised from 142,000 to 159,000. This marked the largest increase since March 2024.
