The MEV boost, which stands for “maximum extractable value,” is also a potential suspect in causing the network issue. The MEV boost refers to the additional income that miners can earn by inserting and reordering transactions in the blockchain.
Superphiz, a blockchain developer, tweeted about the incident, saying that a client had experienced a bug and that a patch would be necessary. While developers are still investigating the cause of the network issue, it is believed that the MEV boost may have played a role.
