According to BlockBeats, on September 16, US federal officials said that the suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was 58-year-old Ryan Routh. According to CNN, Routh was born in 1966 and has lived in Hawaii. He has eight arrest records, all for minor crimes.
Routh also reportedly frequently posts about politics and has donated specifically to Democratic candidates, with those donations dating back to 2019. He also slammed Trump in an April 22 post in which he declared, “Democracy is on the ballot, and we can’t lose.” (Jin Shi)
