Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong shared in a tweet that since mid-2016, the annual transaction volume of stablecoins has been on the rise and is projected to be close to Visa’s transaction volume by 2023. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s annual transaction volume started growing in 2013 but saw a decline around 2021.
In 2023, Bitcoin’s transaction volume is expected to be equivalent to that of PayPal.
