New Bitcoin Reserve Plan Unveiled by President-elect Trump

President-elect Donald Trump and his allies are reportedly developing a plan to establish a Bitcoin reserve, with plans to sell some of the Federal Reserve’s gold to fund the purchase of 1 million BTC. Wyoming Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis is set to introduce a Bitcoin Reserve bill when the new Congress convenes, with plans to purchase nearly 5% of the total supply of BTC, valued at around $88 billion.

The bill may potentially draw lessons from El Salvador’s recent adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender.
