Crypto influencer Kevin Mirshahi, who was suspected dead since August, was found dead in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. Mirshahi was abducted in June along with three others, and the police found the other victims a few hours later. Mirshahi owned and operated Crypto Paradise Island, an investment firm that has been under investigation since 2021.
Joanie Lepage, who is accused of first-degree murder and abduction of Mirshahi, may be connected to his crypto ventures. This incident is part of a concerning trend of crypto executive and influencer kidnappings and killings, often motivated by a desire to steal or recover large sums of money.
