Aleo Chinese Community Questions a16zs Alleged Lawsuit Leadership Changes and Investment Intentions

The Aleo Chinese community recently sent an “open letter about the Aleo project” to a16z. The letter raised several concerns, such as whether a16z filed a lawsuit against the original Aleo team in the US court. The community is also curious about the original intention of a16z’s decision to invest in Aleo and whether a16z can share its vision and key reasons for supporting Aleo.

Another concern is the change in leadership at Aleo Network, with Howard Wu being replaced by Alex Purden, who has a16z background. The community questions whether this change is consistent with Aleo Network’s long-term goals and strategies. Additionally, rumors about a16z and other venture capital companies filing legal proceedings against the original Aleo team in the US court are causing concern among the community.

In April 2021, Aleo received $28 million in financing, led by a16z, and in February 2022, Aleo completed $200 million in Series B financing, led by SoftBank and Kora Management. Despite these investments, the project’s mainnet launch on September 18, 2024, failed to gain recognition from the community.

Instead, social media has been filled with doubts and criticisms, particularly from miners. Many users have expressed disappointment on social media, comparing Aleo’s fate to the “King of Heaven turning into ‘Death of Heaven.'”
