Last month, venture capital funds invested $860 million in crypto startups, a 30% increase from September. This is the highest investment since April and highlights the growing interest in the blockchain gaming sector, which received $110 million in funding, a 75% increase from September to October.
Infrastructure solutions received the most venture capital investments, with $609 million, a 33% increase from September. Notably, Bitcoin-focused infrastructure provider Blockstream received the largest funding round in this sector, $210 million from Fulgur Ventures. Meanwhile, the DeFi sector saw a 55% decline in funding between August and September, but recovered with $98 million in funding for October.
Solv, a Bitcoin staking platform, raised $11 million in October, while Variational, aiming to build a decentralized derivatives platform, secured $10.3 million in a seed round.
