A 23-year-old Ukrainian man, Viacheslav Leibov, was kidnapped in Phuket, Thailand, and forced to transfer $250,000 in USDT stablecoins to two armed robbers. Initially, the robbers demanded $500,000 in USDT but later agreed to settle for a lower amount. Leibov was threatened with violence until he complied with the robbers’ demands.
